The Venue
The Fisherman's Wharf is THE MOST STUNNING venue in the Eastern Bay of Plenty, sitting over the water at the Port Ohope Wharf. The views out of the restaurant are breathtaking and the outlook is forever changing with the coming and going of the tides in the harbour.
Paul the owner and chef will prepare handcrafted Canapés showcasing premium ingredients, refined presentation and flavours designed to leave a lasting impression, thoughtfully curated sparkling wines will complement the Canapés and further enhance your wedding experience.

The Celebrant
Lorraine Jones, The Whakatane Celebrant, has been a celebrant in the Eastern Bay of Plenty since 2018. She has performed ceremonies everywhere from airstrips, backyards, on the beach, at the farm and even out at sea. You're in safe hands with her leading your ceremony, she will ensure every aspect of your ceremony is centred around YOUR relationship.
Once you have booked your time slot for your legal Wedding ceremony, Lorraine will call you to discuss your ceremony and advise you on obtaining your marriage license. On the day, Lorraine will perform the legal ceremony, you just need 2x witnesses to sign your paperwork. You can write your own vows to personalise the ceremony.
The Photographer
The big moments, the little moments, and everything in between. Your Walk in Wedding includes photography by Claire House Photography, capturing not only beautiful portraits but also the genuine moments that tell the story of your day.
Claire uses gentle prompts rather than stiff poses, creating natural photographs filled with authentic connection, laughter, and aroha. You'll receive a collection of images that help you relive your wedding day for years to come.
The flowers
Bouquet Floral Studio is a long-established florist business on the Strand in Whakatane. The team are highly skilled at making beautiful floral displays that will brighten up any occasion.
Your wedding bouquet will consist of the freshest, in season flowers. The type of flower in your bouquet can't be guaranteed, but the colour can so you choose your bouquet colour and the ladies at Bouquet Floral Studio will work their magic.
The Cake
Annalie at Cake Works has been creating luxury wedding and celebrations cakes in the Bay of Plenty and beyond for more than 20 years. She prides herself in making use of refined techniques and decadent flavours to create something truly memorable for your special event
