Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings made with Your walk in Wedding for wedding services provided at the Fisherman's Wharf, Ohope.
By confirming a booking, the clients acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

1. Booking Confirmation & Payment

Your walk in wedding booking is confirmed when full payment has been received. Payment can be made via bank transfer or credit card. Your payment will include a non-refundable deposit will be

2. Cancellation Policy
All cancellations must be made in writing.
The deposit is non-refundable, as it covers administration, planning, date reservation, and work completed prior to the ceremony.
If the booking is cancelled within 14 days of the ceremony date, 100% of the total booking value will be payable.

3. Rescheduling & Force Majeure
If your ceremony cannot proceed due to circumstances outside of Your walk in Wedding's reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, natural disasters, government restrictions, public health orders, supplier failure, or other force majeure events, Your walk in Wedding will make reasonable efforts to reschedule your booking to an alternative available date.
Any rescheduled date is subject to availability.
Additional fees may apply where substantial re-planning or supplier changes are required.
If you choose not to reschedule, all payments made remain subject to the cancellation policy outlined above.

4. Ceremony Timing & Delays
Clients are responsible for arriving on time and ensuring the ceremony runs to the agreed schedule.
Your walk in Wedding operates on allocated ceremony time slots. If clients or guests arrive late, the booking time will not be extended and the ceremony, photography, and venue access time available may be reduced accordingly.
All couples are required to depart the venue at the conclusion of their allocated booking time.
Any requested changes to ceremony timing or location must be communicated as soon as reasonably possible and are subject to availability and approval.

5. Photography Services
Your walk in Wedding will make every reasonable effort to capture the requested moments and deliver a professional photographic gallery consistent with the photographer's artistic style and portfolio.
The photographer retains full creative discretion regarding image selection, editing style, and final delivery.
Specific poses, images, weather conditions, lighting conditions, or guest cooperation cannot be guaranteed.
Clients acknowledge that photography coverage may be affected by circumstances outside of Your walk in Wedding's control, including weather, venue restrictions, delays, guest interference, or equipment failure.
In the unlikely event of catastrophic equipment failure, loss of files, illness, injury, or other unforeseen circumstances preventing delivery of services, liability shall be limited to the amount paid by the client.

6. Image Usage & Copyright
All photographs remain the copyright of the photographer.
Clients are granted a personal-use licence to download, print, and share their images for non-commercial purposes.
Images may not be altered, sold, submitted for publication, or used commercially without prior written permission.
Unless otherwise requested in writing prior to the ceremony date, Your walk in Wedding may use images from the ceremony for portfolio, website, social media, publication, and promotional purposes.
Clients are responsible for downloading and appropriately storing their images following gallery delivery. While Your walk in Wedding may retain copies of images for a limited period, long-term archiving and storage of photographs cannot be guaranteed.

7. Celebrant Services
The celebrant will prepare and conduct the ceremony as agreed with the clients.
Ceremony scripts and written content created by the celebrant remain the intellectual property of the celebrant and may not be copied or reproduced without permission.
In the unlikely event the celebrant becomes unavailable due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, reasonable efforts will be made to source a suitable replacement celebrant.

8. Cake, Food & Flower Services
All floral arrangements will use fresh, in-season flowers. Photos show style examples, not exact stems. Out-of-season stems will be swapped for similar ones of equal value. The types of flowers cannot be guaranteed but we can guarantee your colour choice.

The Canapes will be curated from fresh food based on what is in season. We use fresh food based on what is in season. Market availability may require minor ingredient swaps. Dietary requirements can be accommodated but notice prior to your wedding is required.

Cake flavours can be pre ordered via the Enquiry form. Every effort will be made to satisfy your cake order. In the event that we cannot supply your cake flavour, we will inform you as soon as possible.


9. Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for:
Obtaining and supplying all legal marriage documentation required under New Zealand law.
Ensuring guests behave respectfully toward all vendors and attendees.
Advising Your walk in Wedding of any relevant access, health, mobility, or venue-related considerations.
Ensuring all information provided for the booking is accurate.
Your walk in Wedding reserves the right to cease services immediately if any team member experiences threatening, abusive, unsafe, discriminatory, or inappropriate behaviour.

10. Health & Safety
Clients acknowledge that outdoor environments may involve inherent risks, including uneven terrain and rapidly changing weather conditions.
Clients participate at their own risk and agree to follow all safety instructions provided by vendors and venue staff..
Under New Zealand law, personal injury claims are generally covered by the Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC).

11. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by New Zealand law, Your walk in Wedding and it's vendors shall not be liable for any indirect loss, consequential loss, emotional distress, weather-related disruption, travel disruption, or circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
Any liability arising in connection with services provided shall be limited to the total amount paid by the clients for the booking.

12. General
These Terms & Conditions constitute the entire agreement between Your walk in Wedding and the clients and supersede all prior discussions or understandings.
Any amendments to these Terms must be agreed in writing.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full effect.
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
